It has been a few days since I posted. Nothing to exciting to report. The kids are back in school and we are all re-adjusting to getting up early again! The weather is still mild here.. 50s in January, in the midwest, is just plain crazy!! My kids are SOOOOOO wanting a good snow storm so they can sled and snowboard! We have not had any here this year!
When Mayson was born, they told us she would be eligible for some assistance. We have great insurance and never applied for it. Well, now that she has eye issues and we have no eye insurance, we applied. Unfortunately, they have made some changes to our states system and down syndrome is no longer an automatic qualifier. So, they had someone come out her to evaluate Mayson. They now have to be considered "mentally retarded" (I hate the term...sorry!) to qualify. Well, we got the phone call that she does not qualify....bummer... but then again it also means she is doing great! They will re-evaluate in 6 months.
Now, if I could just get rid of this headache and figure out what to make for supper!!!!

It's a shame that she doesn't qualify but it's wonderful that she's doing so good! The weather has been crazy up here in Connecticut too!
