Every year our city puts on the FREEDOM FESTIVAL. Its a week long party of lots of activities, food, bands, fireworks, etc. This year we walked in the Freedom Festival parade with our local Down syndrome group. It was so much fun! I am so glad we found this group. Walking in the parade, we saw parents of other children with Ds along the parade route. It made me sad that they weren't apart of this group and enjoying the fun we were having. Hopefully, they saw how wonderful it can be and join us!
Afterwards we stayed at the park for some kid activities and then our friends from high school came down and we went to the BBQ round up--Great BBQ! We drank a few beers, listened to the bands and let the kids play. Rylee climbed a rock wall and she even made it to the top!! We bet her $5 she couldn't do it to entice her.....the kid loves money and proved us wrong!
Anyway, it was a great day!!

Mayson is so cute. That is so neat that you guys got to walk in the parade, I really wish we had a Down syndrome group in this town. Also, I love the tile that your daughter made!!!
