We got hit with a nice big snow storm today. Dont get me wrong, I love Iowa and having 4 seasons but damn, this is crazy. We got 13 inches today and with the wind blowing its not something fun to shovel, especially with the steep driveway we have. (We dont have a snow blower) My kids have also missed 2 days of school this week. I love my kids but they need to be in school!!!!!!!!!
They did have a great day of playing in snow!!

Here is the view of our driveway from the street

Here is the view from the front porch

and here is our backyard.....that black spot on the middle is our burn barrel we use to burn yard waste hiding in the snow!!!!!

Wow!! It hardly snowed in KC. The news is acting like it snowed a ton, and all the schools were cancelled today, but when I look out the window, it doesn't look like much. Logan was out of school today too! I know how you feel, get them back in school!!!

It looks so beautiful! We haven't had much snow here (yet). It looks real cold! I'm sure we are do for an icebox week real soon. Stay warm....lots of snuggles with Mayson should do it.

I imagine it's quite a pain in the neck, but Amy your pictures make it look so gorgeous!! And coming from Louisiana (and now Florida) it looks like a completely different world than I've ever seen out of any of my windows! Thanks for sharing the beauty!
