This whole Thanksgiving weekend went by so fast. Even though I am thankful for so many things, its been a hard few days. Our Thanksgiving was nice. It was so good to see our famiy. Thursday evening was the Wake of our dear friend, Dean. It was so hard seeing him laying in his casket and seeing his wife Beth and kids grieve. Its not supposed to be this way... someone this young is not supposed to die...children are not supposed to lose their parents.....Its not fair.
I will say his sevice was nice and it felt good to be with all our friends. We are a pretty tight group. We met at a bar we used to go to every weekend before we all moved away and had families. There, we drank beer, watched movies of our friend Dean, talked about the good old times and reminesssed. Dean would of wanted it that way.
Now, we are up in Rochester, MN, for my father in laws open heart surgery. He is having his aortic valve replaced and having a bypass done at the same time. We will be up here a few days until the surgery is over and things look on the up and up.
Until then, I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving!!
